Description
Description
The aluminium die-cast chassis is rigidly integrated with a special material consisting of ABS mixed with glass fiber to achieve a two-layer construction. The insulator consists of a spring and rubber to provide optimal vibration-damping characteristics. The tonearm is a static-balance universal S-shape tonearm, another Technics tradition. By adopting a high-precision bearing using the same gimbal suspension construction and machined housing as the SL-1200 Series, high initial sensitivity is achieved. In addition, reliability has been improved by incorporating a removable power cable and gold-plated terminals, which have less sound quality degradation, for the PHONO and LINE terminals.

The Technics SL1200 has always been superbly built but this is even better. Added to the existing three-layer chassis is a new, 10mm thick top panel, crafted from solid aluminium. This provides superior damping for a more dynamic sound. A newly developed, coreless motor is used to cut down on vibration with twin rotors providing high torque and an even load on the bearing. In short, the new SL1200G shouldn't just be the best-sounding but also the hardest wearing - with a weight of 18kg to prove it. Unique to the top spec SL1200G is a magnesium tonearm (the standard models feature an aluminium one). Lightweight magnesium offers a high damping effect; quelling distortion. It’s also extremely rigid, helping the tonearm offer the most precise and detailed sound. High precision bearings and Technics’ gimbal suspension provide the smoothest tracking Rather than using static cables, the SL1200G features brass-milled, gold-plated phono terminals. These let you choose your own length and quality of cable that's worthy of a deck of this capability. A new 'x2' button lets you double the range of the pitch control from +/- 8% to +/-16%. This extra range makes it even more flexible as a mixing tool and even handier in the studio than ever. |
The tonearm is statically balanced and highly sensitive, providing a highly accurate pickup of the record signal. In terms of vibration damping, the Technics SL-1200MK7 has a two-layer turntable construction, a highly stable housing and effective damping feet. Apart from that, the DJ turntable is equipped with long-lasting and brighter LED needle lighting. Other very practical features include detachable power and signal cables for greater flexibility and start/stop torque adjustment. In terms of style, the Technics SL-1200MK7 comes with a silver cabinet including silver buttons as well as an S-shaped tonearm, which provides a continuous silver design in an attractive, refined look. With all these features, the DJ turntable aims to set a new standard for DJ turntables. |
First developed for the top-spec 'G' model, a coreless motor is used to cut down on vibration. Development of a single-rotor, surface-facing, coreless direct-drive motor, results in the elimination of 'cogging' which can afflict other direct drive decks. Using motor control technology developed through Blu-ray players, the SL-1200GR verifies and corrects the precision of the motor for perfect pitch stability. Everything about the SL-1200GR's construction is designed to reduce vibration and improve sound quality. The new die-cast aluminium platter features rear-bracing and is 800g heavier than its MK5 predecessor. The improved mass and rigidity improves speed stability and reduces distortion for a cleaner, purer sound. |
The tonearm is statically balanced and highly sensitive, allowing high-precision tracking of the record signal. When it comes to vibration damping, the Technics - SL-1210MK7 has a two-layer turntable structure, a highly stable housing and effective damping feet. Apart from that, the DJ turntable is equipped with a durable and brighter LED needle illumination. Further very practical features are the detachable power and signal cables for a higher flexibility and the adjustment of the start-/brake torque. In Puncto Style, the Technics - SL-1210MK7 comes with a matt black housing including black buttons and a black S-shaped tonearm, providing a consistent black design in an attractive, refined look. With all these features the Technics - SL-1210MK7 wants to set a new standard for DJ turntables. |
The turntable features an S-shaped tonearm with adjustable tracking force and an AT-HS6 universal 1/2"-mount headshell with an AT-VM95E Dual Magnet™ phono cartridge. Audio-Technica has been a leader in phono cartridge design for more than 50 years, and that expertise shows in the versatile, high-performance AT-VM95E cartridge, which comes with a 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical stylus, but is also compatible with any VM95 Series replacement stylus, offering a wide choice of options for every budget and application. |
This updated version of the AT-LP60-USB features a redesigned tonearm base and headshell to improve tracking and reduce resonance. Noise is further reduced by the inclusion of an AC adapter that moves the AC/DC conversion outside of the chassis where its impact on the signal chain is limited. |
The turntable includes a straight aluminum tonearm with adjustable tracking force and an AT-HS4 universal 1/2"-mount headshell with an AT-VM95C Dual Moving Magnet phono cartridge. Audio-Technica has been a leader in phono cartridge design for more than 50 years, and that expertise shows in the versatile, high-performance AT-VM95C cartridge, which comes with a 0.6 mil conical stylus, but is also compatible with any VM95 Series replacement stylus, offering a wide choice of options for every budget and application. |
